However, its lipids distribution has not been well studied and utilized. In the current study, we firstly used the non-targeted LC-MS/MS method to describe the lipid profile of the mature C. oleifera kernels. The student's t-test and partial least squares discriminant analysis were used to screen the significant differential lipid (SDLs) between the C. oleifera cultivars Huaxin and Huashuo. Through comparative analysis, we identified 121 differential lipids (P-value1.5), and there was a strong correlation between these differential lipids. By using pathway enrichment analysis, we found that the most influential pathway in the two cultivars was the glycerophospholipid metabolism pathway, and that the PLD enzyme may be an important factor to the difference in lipids composition between the two cultivars.
